LAZAR

are young musicians who have been playing together for more than five years, first as a trio and now as a quartet. Their music is characterised by driving and changing rhythms and a full sound. Listeners will find rock and experimental passages, often alternating between powerful and harder phases, which are replaced by lyrical and quieter phases in the songs.

LAZAR

GAGAMAN

This Göttingen duo exudes a likeable DIY flair with their first album, because ‘Headless Chicken For President’ not only rumbles and clatters in an unpolished way, but also contains distinct indie and noise rock elements despite Gagaman's foundation in riff-based hard rock. The two protagonists call it ‘progressive post-stoner’.

GAGAMAN

THOUGHTS

are an instrumental metal band from Rostock, Germany, founded in 2021. The trio combines various influences such as Tesseract, Leprous and Meshuggah to create a unique blend of post-metal and progressive metal, taking their audience on a journey through sound and light.

THOUGHTS

GLASGOW COMA SCALE

are an instrumental post-rock/stoner rock trio from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 2011 by brothers Piotr (guitar, samples) and Marek Kowalski (bass). Their music combines atmospheric guitar textures with intense bass and rhythm layers, entirely without vocals, but with cinematic tension arcs.

GLASGOW COMA SCALE

MICHAEL DÜHNFORT

plays high-energy blues rock with his band. The trio guarantees rousing live shows, brilliant guitar playing and authentic emotions. The songs range from hard blues to humorous, balladic to heavy boogie and rock shuffle, sometimes spiced with elements of light-hearted country style or earthy southern rock.

t aka DR. THOMAS THIELEN

Thomas ‘t’ Thielen is back on stage! After working as a producer for Steve Hogarth (Marillion), the Cutting Crew and others, t is once again focusing on his career in front of the microphone. As the headliner of the Artmusik Festival on Thursday, the scene's most unknown top star according to Rolling Stone will bring ‘the best film you'll hear this year’ (Musikexpress) to the stage.

STINKING LIZAVETA

is a power trio from Philadelphia. MusicMight categorises them as ‘doom jazz’. Their debut album Hopelessness and Shame from 1996 was recorded by Steve Albini. Albini was so impressed by them that he took them to the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in 2004, which he co-curated.

PHALANX

Four instruments. One composition. 25 ideas. Fast. Extreme. Sophisticated. Every definition is a limitation. Hope without resistance. Development is the purpose of music; music itself is development, so music itself is the purpose. Every action has a reaction. Enchanting, therefore essential. Music is when you are musical.

PHALANX

BARON CRÂNE

In 2014, Baron Crâne emerged from the experimental, uninhibited flow of instrumental
jam sessions and has since synthesised his surprising stylistic associations in
various albums that stand out not only for their uniqueness in relation to the surrounding
underground scene, but also for the constant renewal of their formula.

BARON CRÂNE

JPH

The five lads from the Baltic Sea incorporate pretty much everything that comes to mind into their music. Catchy riffs and seemingly familiar sequences are bent and forged and enriched with their own material until it ‘fits’. They still leave room for improvisation, so that the songs are constantly reinventing themselves.

JPH

WELCOME INSIDE THE BRAIN

stand for psychedelic-inspired vintage prog music with influences ranging from The Doors to Frank Zappa. Enthralling guitar solos and ecstatic vocals merge with electric organ, double bass and old-school drums to shape the sound of the band, which formed in Leipzig in 2015.

WELCOME INSIDE THE BRAIN

FRANK SCHÄFER

reads from ‘Nötes of a Dirty Old Fan’ and takes us on his dives into the leather-clad, studded, split-ended rock scene, letting us share in this wonderfully black-and-white yet highly complex, violence-glorifying yet peaceful underworld.
